Seattle Design Festival

The Seattle Design Festival aims to widen and deepen the public conversation about design in Seattle. Encompassing a wide range of design disciplines, the festival explores design as an active force that solves problems, contributes to innovation, and improves our lives.

Founded and produced by AIA Seattle, the first festival is the product of a collaboration among ten non-profit partners. By combining forces to present ten days of concentrated programming about architecture and design, the partners have created a festival that calls attention to the power and value of design in both the private and public realms. --Seattle Design Festival

Krista Kelly Biography for Panel Discussion at Focus on Design | Seattle

Krista Kelly is the founder and owner of Seattle based Bilinear Art Consulting, providing art consulting services to a diverse client base of individuals and corporations. She has built a strong reputation on bringing excitement to the discovery and enjoyment of art frontiers as well as to the traditional images of beauty and place. Ms. Kelly does this by involving her clients in the social network of acquisition, which includes artist retrospectives and other exclusive invitational events. She then sees the process through with superior framing and presentation, effectively employing her education and training at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago to ensure that client selections maintain their initial investment value and have every chance for appreciation in today’s marketplace, while bringing pleasure to clients, friends and family. Ms. Kelly was the co-curator for the visual arts 2010 PONHCO and the Sea Tac Airport curator of the Innovative Design: Seattle Architects 2008-2009. She has taught at Pratt Art Institute, has been featured in numerous local magazines, television programs, and newspapers.
